Description

The museum is located within the walls of the Ascension Monastery of the Caves. It was founded in 2003. The exposition and interiors of the museum are unique and diverse.

As exhibits here are presented as the most ancient archaeological finds from the excavation site, on the site of the original location of the monastery, as well as copies of archival ancient acts of the XVI-XVIII centuries. Along with this, the exposition presents real material evidence and objects that characterize the former decoration of the monastery churches and residential cells.
