The Gorky Railway is one of the oldest railways in Russia. It originates from the Moscow-Nizhny Novgorod road, built in 1862.
Today the Gorky highway stretches for more than 5 thousand km. The railway serves 15 regions of the Russian Federation.
The main railway station of the city - "Gorky-Moscow" - is located in the river Nizhny Novgorod. The station accepts many long-distance trains, which allows you to get to the city by rail from virtually anywhere in the country.
The Nizhny Novgorod-Moscow line is one of the most intensively used in the Russian Federation. High-speed trains "Sapsan" and "Swallow" run on this route, with the help of which only 3 hours and 55 minutes you can cover the distance from Moscow to Nizhny Novgorod.
